STV Scotland was originally made up of five regions:
- STV Border (Scotland)
- STV Central (Edinburgh & East)
- STV Central (Glasgow & West)
- STV North (Aberdeen & North)
- STV North (Dundee & Tayside)
Whilst they still “virtually” exist for the purposes of STV sub-regional news or advertising, the transmitter networks now only recogonise them as:
- 1. STV Border (Scotland)
- 2. STV Central Belt, comprising of:
- STV Central (Edinburgh & East)
- STV Central (Glasgow & West)
- 3. STV Highlands, comprising of:
- STV North (Aberdeen & North)
- STV North (Dundee & Tayside)
UK Radio Portal therefore maps radio station against any/all of the three “primary regions”:
- STV Border (Scotland)
- STV Central Belt
- STV Highlands
